silencer connector

i was trying to take my header out because i got a new one and i can't get the silencer off. it is hard to get in there to pry it off so i was just wondering if anybody knew an easy way to get it off. it has little slits in the metal so that when you put the clamp on it bends the metal down tight and i have bent that back up all the way around so i would think that it would slide right off but it woun't.

it should just slide right off, no bending of anything or prying...it is easier to take the silencer off of the bike and header and then the header off of the bike

just sray some wd-40 or sumthing and try to pry and bang it off. my slip-on is always really hard to get off the header.

o.k well i got it off but the fmf power bomb i got won't fit in the stock silencer.
does anybody know what the problemb is?
i am going to get an HMF silencer next because i am getting a deal on it and i was just wondering if it was going to fit.
