I've had my 01 250ex for a while now and the front end squeaks when the suspension travels even 1/2 inch. It sounds like its comming from wheel area when you compress the shocks. is there some kind of maintenance I can do to grease the joints or something? Its gotten louder over time.

I did spray Silcone down the tops, no difference. I really think its coming from the ball joint or pivot point behind the brakes. The connections there look sealed (no grease gun attachment). Any other ideas?

I had the same problem with my daughters 250. It was driving me crazy so I took the shock off and what seemed to fix it was adding some WD-40 to the hole where the bolt goes through. I lubed just the bolt & hole and that fixed it. I thought it was the spring squeaking but just lubing the bolt and hole fixed it. It been about 5 months and still no squeak!

Aye, the a-arm pivots are sealed. It's usually the lower chock mount that actually squeaks.

Remove the bolt, grease it up and reinsert. (get your mind out of the gutter).

Exactly what everybody else said.

Take the a-arm bolts out and grease them.
