I am debating on which of the three slip ons should I get for my '03 250ex:

1. Pro-Circuit T-4 Silencer $279.95

2. Afterburner Quiet Series $289.95

3. Megamax Slip-on $179.95

If you guys know any other slip ons that are around the prices of these listed, please let me know.

Thanks,
Lpawjr

HMF is always a good slip on...Might be a bit more though

Steer away from the FMF Mega Maxx, its crap

HMF (http://www.hmfengineering.com/index.php?cat=atv&prod=exhausts&make=HONDA&model=250EX&searchby=model&series=Sport%20Series) would be your best choice.

Whenever I see these slip ons, some optional jet-kit stuff pops up. Do I need a jet-kit if I wanna get a HMF slip on?

thanks,

you don't need the JEt kit, but you will need to re-jet. the jet kit is just a bunch of jets in a box with a new needle usually. if you call HMF they shoud be able to tell youabout what jet to start with on your bike, so you can just buy the jets individually. it is cheaper to buy the jets than to buy the whole kit.

HMF
I think it is cheaper than most of the ones you have listed. I dont know about your bike though.

i like HMF also have nothing but good things to say about them.....u can't go wrong...but it's what u like that counts....these are all good the HMF is alittle better if u look at the hard numbers it will show in the end....just do alittle homework online and see for yourself....took me 5months to find a pipe i like and HMF was the pipe

If your full system is 200, you would for sure get more power out of that then getting a slip on obviously. I personall have X-6 Sparks but, buddies have HMF and it is a quality piece by far. But you for sure want to re-jet and get an air filter to alow that motor to breathe. You will feel some gains.

megamax ..it works great for me..no problems...great sound(if u want loud)plus u can tune it for acceleration or top speed with the discs. If u do buy the megamax...buy the extra disc pack...if u buy this let me know....and ill tell u the number i used...

On the 250ex I will also reccoment the HMF Full with an aftermarket filter and reccomended jets from HMF (they will, if you ask, usually send them with your pipe)

I have the T-4 on my 250EX and really like it. I'd also recommend a K&N filter. I've drilled the airbox lid along with some UNI foam plugs. It's made a huge difference.
