you wont be too surprised. 2 of my friends have 450's. one is a honda the other a suzuki. the honda consistently beats the zuki. both are bone stock. i thought the ltr was supposed to be bad***** but it wasnt all that impressive.

thats a good point, i own a 06 yfz and do quite well against both the 450's. my buddies cherry bomber ltr is fast but my yfz if right with him and it hasnt even been piped or jetted yet,everyone seems to dogg on the yfz lately but it is still an amazing quad as long with the 450r and ltr, its just rider preference, but i will agree if mx is all your gonna be doing id go with the ltr just because of less mone,

hey put a cherry bomb on that ltr and take out the air box lid and spark arresrtor and then c how that ltr feels mine with a 13 t front sprocket would pull on a yfz with a hmf pipe lol now i got a yoshi pipe on mine and he wont race me.......

OH he makes it and clears the landing most of the time. It's only about a 55ft jump. Here he is at the same jump but mid air on this one. He's cleary going to make it.
We were taught to jump low to keep up speed.

Nope, the rear is stock, the fronts have the Works spring kit. No revalve yet. That's going to happen once he gets his swing arm back. (Nothing wrong with it, it's at a swing arm company for an LTR concept swing arm to be release in the future)

hes not jumping low then. The stock rear shock on the lt-r preloads off jump faces and shoots you higher than needed.

We have tinkered with the settings on the shock and it's set to what he likes right now. He did stay that it is to touchy and when he can it is going to get a revalve.

But yes I understand where you're coming from. That shock is very touchy and responsive jump imput. He has had a few take offs that looked like he was about to launch the quad to the moon when he first started to hit that jump.

ya, most stock rear shocks seem to be that way. I have tinkered with mine also, but even still..everyone says I get higher on most jumps than people with zero preload shocks. It sucks..but looks good I suppose.

No bar set, I just happen to be good at catching the quad only with a telephoto lens. I use the ground if i feel it adds to the picture or i am trying to show the distance/heigth of a jump. I have far too many folks willing to air it out for my camera to have a need to cut out anything i dont feel adds to the picture. If anyone else does, thats on them, cropping is just a peice of the puzzle making the picture the photographer wants...and also for scrubs who are skeert to go big:chinese:
