couple of questions

ive been thinking about buying a used 450r. what i want to know is what are problems that happen to them, like i heard that the case breaks on them from the kick starter and the crank berrings or something. what year are they specific to? what year would be the best to buy? im looking for an mx ready one. i dont think i want an 04... because the first year is always the worst. whats the power like? how much would a decent 450 be that is mx ready? thanks -jay

get a 06 or newer they have had no problems. The only problem I heard of is not starting while hot. But I guess that has been fixed

I don't know about being fixed Josh. A lot of people are having problems with the starting. Rather then that I like mine.

the 06 and newer er's have weak starter clutchs in them. Havent had problems with mine. But we have put in 4 at the shop. But still wouldnt trade mine for anthinng

I'm not sure. I took it in Monday night. They were suppose to look at it Tuesday. I haven't heard anything yet. If they don't call by Wednesday, I'll be calling next week.
