Subframe Question

Besides the fact that the 06 subframe has a bracket for the battery, and I think the exhaust bracket, is there any difference from the 06 to the 04 and 05's? I bent mine up pretty good a couple weeks ago and can't seem to find a used 06 subframe. The dealership wants 366 + tax for a new one.

i dont know if this will help but call lonestar. they make all kinds of frame stuff and imsure they have something thats cheaper than that.

true however, I run a production class and the rules say it has to be stock.

You can change the subframe and still race production unless you are racing the stock production class but if you are riding A,B.or C you can change the subframe and still be legal. The only company I am aware of making a subframe for the honda is HRE. Look at all the Yamahas none of them use a stock subframe they are all 6 points.

hmm, you might be right I'll look into it a little bit more, I kinda just figured it had to be stock.

Does anybody know way frames for an 04 have went over $900 from $430.

check with service honda........i just bought a new subframe for my 05, from them......it was $100 cheaper than any other place.

I noticed that, too. They may be running out of frames and do not want to produce any more, so they jack the price up.
