has anyone tried the $750 "standard" front shocks
that ohlins makes for the 400?

i never tried them, but i know ohlins makes a very high quality shock

Id say seeing that the man behind axis is now the head honcho at Ohlins, they will work well

I always used ohlins on my huskys.
They were outstanding.
This new model (36p) is stripped down (no clickers).
And i wondered how it felt with the stock(unadjustable)
damping setup.

yup they are great MUCH improved ride over stock..i had them on my old 426.
