Im going to have a 13:1 piston installed and have my head port and polished. I am just looking for those of you who have had either of these done... or both to see what you guys paid to to have them installed. I want to make sure im not getting ripped off when i go to install them. Just give me some numbers and i will really appreciated it.
thanks.. :macho

Labor to replace a top end should be around 3 hours... give or take....

Most shops by me charge around 70-90 per hour....

So you are looking at over $200 in assembly labor....

I do not know the local labor rate by you....

That does NOT include machine work (porting)...

That is simply the time it would take to replace piston, rings and cam... etc....

I'd guess porting is gonna be $300 - $500 depending on how extensive the work is. Beware of "budget" prices on porting. Cleaning up casting flash is not the same as an actual port job backed by R&D.
