I did the same and it is a huge difference!! I could definately tell the difference of the extra 750 or 1000 rpm it gives you.

What green wire are we talking about? What does it do exactly?

That's a mod they are doing on the 06. Let's the engine rev another 1000 rpm. Won't work on yours.

most of the people who do the green wire mod will need to have a pipe of cam or air filter something to benift(sp) from it..The HRC kit includes a harness that removes the green wire.(for those who dont know)

thats pretty sweet for just cutting a wire, haha do you remove the entire wire or just snip it and leave it?

and one more question but there wasnt really aneed to start a new thread about it, doesnt really have much to do with the wire but the 06-07's are the batteries any differnet, is the 07 starter any more powerful? because ive heard some peoples 06's dont have enough to crank it over

Just snip it leaving room to put back if you wanted to I did mine last night I was running out of each gear fast I have full exhaust and K&N and was not happy with performance untill the cut you can tell the differance real fast longer shifts and I notice a chrisp Rap to the exhaust and those that dont know where the wires are on the 06 lift the front hood you will see the cdi with three plugs on it the plug to your right has six wires the one in the middle will have eight wires the one ont the left has Four wires the green one on this one is the one you cut I went up against a 06hrc and gave him some what of a fight compaird to others there

The mod works for 06-07 kicks also. There are only three wires on the kick start models though. The green is still the one you cut.

better than cutting- is the yellow ring that can be removed from the inner "green-wire connector" using a "pick" to be able to pull the wire terminal out from the connector without cutting to be re-inserted at a later date as new.

would you see a good improvment on a stock 06 r?

If you dont feel good about cuuting your wires, HRC has a harness to bypass the green wire (comes w/HRC kit) but I believe you can get the harness by itself for 14.00-15.00.

I'VE HEARD THAT EVEN THOUGH ONE MIGHT HAVE THE HRC BY-PASS WIRES GOING TO THE CDI IT ONLY HELPS PICK UP 300-400RPM AND IF THE GREEN WIRE IS CUT IT PICKS UP 700-1000 MORE RPM....???? CAN ANYONE BACK ME UP?

I bought the HRC harness from C&D and I can tell a difference. I like it. Plus it can easily be taken off.
