just picked mine up yesterday. should i get the hrc kit? i am just woods riding and mabe the local drag once in a while. or should i go and get jets and exaust W/filter. i want to keep it close to stock.

I'm like you. I do alot of woods riding and a little drag racing too. I sure everyone is going to say HRC for sure! But I didnt wount to get into the engine atleast not right away. I just opened up the air box added a Prodesign intake witha K&N filter repalce the stock 120 main with a 170. I tried a 48 and 45 pilot jet but the stock 42 seems about perfect. I aso added an adjustable fuel screw cause it's a ***** to try and get to the stock one. I also replace the nonadjustable needle with a CRF450 needle which is adjustable. Last I added a slip on exhaust from DMC. It's got more power than I can handle. If I ever get tired of this I'll try the HRC kit. I've had no problems what so ever with mine. It start first try every time hot or cold. Keep your oil changed often along with a clean airfilter and have fun!

me personally..I would say go with the HRC..I did it and it was the best money I have ever spent! I ride woods and drag racing(alot)..
