my buddy trx23rider just raced down at the Frozen Ocean track. he races Open class Novice on an almost stock 400ex. he managed to pull the holeshot on the first moto against a bunch of modified 450's, a pred, and a kawi 440. his bro also races 85cc's db's. i got a bunch of pics, but the quality isnt the greatest because my camera has no power, lol:D

heres the holeshot pic. he swept from the inside and came out on top. unfortunately, when the straits came he fell behind due to lack of displacement.

heres the 80 foot table. the pictures really dont do justice. barely any quads cleared it because the landing was so damn steep. tim got around 45ft-50 on it though.

this was a pretty good shot. tim came from the inside of a corner and overtook the pred.

at frozen ocean there usually isnt a good turn out, there were 7 guys in the novice class. At all the other track there is usally around 10-12 guys in the novice. but at our last race in royal mt there were 26 novice riders, im not sure what class you race but the am's and experts get a pretty good turn out at almost every race. as far a skill the am's and experts can fly! the novice class is pretty decent for begginers. i heard it was like $50 a year for d4 that is what primarly made me choose d3 cuz it is only $25 a year.

I was at frozen Ocean in 1996. The "world cup of ATV's" race. First and last. :D
I thought it was a fantastic track. So big it took a anouncer on each side of the track.
The owners kid was a supreme buttsky and that's the kindest thing I can think of to say about him.
Gee, I wonder why they don't have much of a turnout??!!

Frozen is deffinetly dominated by bikes. there are 15+ classes of bikes and only 3 for quads!!

the Expert class quad guys are pretty damn good though. my buddy todd and me got the chance to talk with em before the races and alot them have nice sponsorships.

that is what it is like at every track. they put the quads out to clear the track if it is muddy and they make our motos as short as possible and tehy run the am and expert classes together. that is the one bad thing, all the bikers hate us and most of the tracks are designed with bikes in mind.

yeah i know, but i just wish eventually the sport would progress where we can at least get more than 3 classes per district 3 race! i mean, if anything the quads help the track because they mow down the ruts.

the bikes like the ruts. they act like rails for them. that is why they hate us. we get rid of the ruts they use to guide them. it is much eaiser on a bike to dig down into a rut to turn rather than on flat land
