bought an ez pull clutch lever and perch for my sons 300ex off ebay. i realized when i bought it that it probably wont work. the stock clutch lever and perch has the reverse mechanisimn attached to it and has 2 wires that come out of it. what are the wires ? has anyone put one on a 300 before and if so what did they do to be able to keep the reverse ?

you can wire the reverse lock out back with coat hanger or chain, it doesn't hurt anything. then you just shift down when you're in neutral. follow the cable down to the right cover and you'll see what needs to be done.

Just unplug the 2 wires from the box, then wire them together. Follow the reverse cable then take a peice of wire and wire it where it is always pulled in.
