i have this old gocart in my backyard thats about 15 years old, "thunder kart" well we got a new motor back in 2001 i think, its a 5hp motor, it hasnt been used in 2 - 3 years, the pullstart string popped, it doesnt have a chain, but when it did have a pullstart string it ran like crap! it would sound like its bogging at idle, any ideas?

im gonna go take it out and take it apart, see what the inside looks like, hopefully once its apart I will get it back together.

If it has been sitting that long the carb prally needs cleaned and new fuel.

What kind of motor is it? If it's a well-known brand, like a Briggs, there are many places (including other online forums) that can give you a lot better info than we can, possibly even complete rebuilding walk-throughs and resources to buy parts or rebuild kits.

Yes it is briggs, i took it apart yesterday, when i went to get the gastank off, gas just started pouring all over me, it has a big hole in it. The carb was a ***** to get off.
