450r vs 500 pred

Be honest has anyone simply dragged a pred. stock vs stock or close to it? who won and who got the holeshot? help? The sad thing is that i think it could. i hve ridden a pred and ive got a new outlook.

i raced one when i had 11.5.1 piston and crf-02 cam and i lost everytime.

pred had full pipe and jet kit.

Stock vs stock it will probably come down to the rider, as the machines will be very close. The 450r will have the advantage in early 5th gear with the pread coming on at top speed.

If you uncork the 450r it will help significantly.

ive never draged one, but i did ride a stock pred. My opinion was the 450r had more bottom and mid then the pred. Pred seemed to have alot of snap in high rpms. so my guess would be that if its a short drag 450r might win, ling drag pred might.

i am lookin at buyin a new atv in the next week or two. my nowhere stock 400ex gets somked by my buds pred. But i am still a homer toward honda.

get the honda 450ER you will never stop riding it and I am telling you because I did it lol and you can beat anything in its path like shees,yfz,lTR450 only if you have the hrc kit and some other mods then you can blow them away lol and i did it my self

I had a chance to ride a pred for about half an hour, a guy I work with bought one and then took it out with me couple months ago. It feels like a bigger machine to start, heavier and taller. I wasn't impressed with the power, really felt slow and very mellow. He had the Troy Lee addition which was very nice, rode smooth too. However, I see a lot of potential in the bike when I looked it over and rode it. In stock form my 04 450r felt faster than the 06 pred, but with them both uncorked it could be a much better race. However, if you are talking an 06 vs 06 I couldn't see that being a race at all, since the 06 R is faster than the 04. If those 06 R's are anything like my modded 04 I can't see the pred even seeing *** end of it.

The reverse is nice, I just didn't like how mellow it was and how heavy it felt. It could have some potential, but I think if you are looking for that size quad look into a Raptor maybe.


It might just be another one of those "raptor is faster than the 450r, after it catches up 300 feet down the road".:rolleyes:

I dragged a predator at Pismo and it wasnt even close. I beat him probably by 7-10 bike lengths. And he was a very good rider. His bike was brand new, and mine had the mods listed below....

honda it is. How much faster is the 06r that the 04r?

There are a lot of things that are different between the 06 bike and the early years. I believe the gearing is different, compression ratio, swingarm, weight savings, lower motor/center of gravity, motor is totally different than early years. The 06 is a BEAST!!!!
