I doubt there will be any noticable difference with single or dual lines.

Are the brakes still working even though the lever is pulled all the way back?

Check the pads, the may be getting thin. Look for signs of leakage around the calipers. Drain the lines and put fresh fluid in. If that doesn't work the master cylinder may need rebuilding.

I had a hard time getting all of the air out of my dual lines, so that may be your problem. You may want to buy or borrow a vaccuum bleeder. Once I got my brakes bled, they were 100% better. I didn't realize how much the stock lines flexed until I got the braided ones. I can only pull the lever about half way, and it's very solid. My advice? Keep bleeding.

Like everyone said, I'd vacuum bleed them. Also, master cylinder kits aren't that much, I would just rebuild it while you're at it for piece of mind. Personally, I didn't realize how soft my front brakes were on my R until I got off it and rode a brand new 400ex. I about went over the bars. I think I've got a little rebuilding to do myself.:o
