I think straight race gas or 50/50 mix, not to sure though. PM GPracer2500

Depends on the cam but 50/50 mix will do either way

13:1 is a relatively high compression. You could probably get off with a 50/50 mix, but I would run it straight just to be safe.

I've always run 100 octane or 50/50 race/premium and haven't had a problem. I have a HRC cam straight up at 4000 ft altitude.

I have been running straight premium 91 octane gas in my 450R with a 13:1 piston for about 8 months and I haven't had a problem yet.

i think if your gonna be runing it hard like for racing i would run half turbo blue and half 93. but for for just screwing around, I would just run 93

i tried running pump gas with my 13:1. it just wasnt very strong, and sounded kind of whispy. although not audibly detonating, i switched to tried and true VP C12, and made my setup into an eye opener.

mix might work for the recreational rider, but mixxing is why i dont have a 2 stroke anymore.:D

I run a 12.25 piston and still run race gas. Don't take chances, don't buy and install and go cheap on gas. 91/c12 50/50 mix, works GREAT

Just for the record I was told by weisco that I could run it on premium gas. Said there was no ponit in spending extra money on more expensive gas if the engine was no detonating.

It doesn't take detonating to cause damage or lose power. There is a thin line that a 13:1 piston can run fresh pump 93. You have to run a completely top end cam, fresh gas always, and exact jetting. If you run a lean mixture at the dunes you are flurting with trouble. It prolly wont seize cause they will go forever, but damage is being done. And considering you run high rpms (top end cam need) you will do your damage quickly.

Race gas if there for three reasons:
-To protect your investment
-To aid in jetting abilities, run it closer to the edge without damgage
-To make the most power out of your engine mods
+as a bonus- it smells good lol

that could mean your valve seals are bad too.....especially if it stops smoking the longer you go.

Yep sort of, if the smoke is only on start up that means your seals are bad and/or your guides are warn too. If it smokes all the time or under power then the rings are bad. :(
