Call a cab. What do you execpt from a car that has 201000+ miles on it? I'd be happy if my car got that many and still ran.

any car will run over 200,000 miles if its well maintained and taken care of, unless it truly does have factory defects, but foriegn cars do tend to last longer, like toyota's and honda's.

Our Bravada has over 200,000 miles on it, '90 S-10 with 246,000 miles on it before it was parked forever (brother totalled it). I would be pissed if my vehicle didn't make it to over 200,000 miles.

it was a honda civic..... im suprised it lasted as long as it did actually.... it had water sucked in the intake about 20000 miles ago...

I have a toyota pickup, 1992 model, it has 217,000 on it as of tonight. I drive about 500 miles a week, atleast, i drove 900 this week. It is still a strong runnin truck, looks pretty good too I think. It hasn't been rebuilt, and it never gets hot. Uses just a little bit of oil every 1000 miles, but not alot. Picture attached, im proud of my truck :D

ever notice a 04-06 ford with the front tire wearing on the inside? i know a guy who has one with 54,000 km's and his front tires were worn right out on the inside, they had to replace all the front end bushings. and those are all highways miles! of course ford only coverd the pice of the parts yet there is a bill for $1200 in labor.

our 2003 chevy silverado 3/4 ton with 184,000km's and the front end is still tight!

we were towing a trailer with 2 quads on it and one in the box and the guy in the ford with one z400 couldn't pass us on the freeway up a hill. ours is just a stock 6.0L vortech and the little 5.4 ford couldn't do it:blah: and he used a full tank of gas where as us going the same distance( only faster and with a trailer:devil:) used just under half a tank.

tell me is that not enough to make you think that fords maybe aren't the greatest thing on earth or is your head to far up your /\$$ to realize it?

the list goes on and on, i could sit here all night long and type up posts of all the reasons why fords suck!

Let's not make this a huge Ford vs Chevy thread, it gets real old.

I'm a die-hard GM fan but our '78 Ford Ranger XLT has lasted forever, it's still running strong. Only had to replace the oil pump on it, when we replaced that we checked out the pistons and it still looked brand new (well at least for running since '78). Those old Ford V8's make awesome torque too. I believe ours the 380ci? Somewhere around there...

Chicksdigme423

ford would be 390ci... unless it's a 350 punched out... ?? but if it's stock then it should be a 390

oh wow a 390:eek2: a chevy 283ci could wipe that! let alone a 327,350, 400 heck even a little 262 would give it a run for its money. and what does your ford get for milage? 5? maybe 8 if its lucky:p

I am a Ford Fan, but every company has its good vehicles and bad. Same as quads. I hate Polaris, but they do have some nice quads....well do they..hmmmm anyways If we want to start a Ford vs Chevy fight then start a new thread

i have 3 fords sitting in my driveway all with over 200,000 on them right now, all still run excellent... 87 with 289,000, 75 with 245,000 and a 77 with 206,000... while on the other hand my 87 toyota threw not one, but 2 rods through the pan at 184,500... but i have an 86 toyota with 415,000 miles on it sitting right beside it in need of a freshining up...

i read in a mag before about a guy from VA has an old f-150 with around 900,000 miles on it. he just never thrashed it, maintained it regularly, and of course replaced worn out parts when needed. im not saying that it could last that long because its a ford (thats prob why anyways) but as long as you maintain them, cars can run as long as you want them to.
