View Full Version : anyone w/ a stock steering stem?

i've bent the same stem twice now, lol. i know alot of people that race swap them out for aftermarked ones. so is there anyone that can help me out. if you have a stock steering stem for an '04yfz just laying around, let me know!

I can repair them. I've been making steering stems for years using the stock lower half. They're just as strong as the aftermarket for 1/3 the price. Here's a pic of one on my new suzuki 450... It's a plus 2" and my own clamps for the fasst bars.

The splines on the bottom of the yfz stock stems are weak.

They twist way too easy.

After replacing our stocker with cheap stockers off ebay, at least four times, I got tired of it and bought an aftermarket one. Been running it now for almost a full season of XC.
