Stock A-arm update

I once saw a pair of stock a-arms with the ball joints cut off and updated with removable ball joints. Anybody know how to do this?

I am thinking of just cutting them off, but I'm not sure which if any, removable ball joints will fit.

These are 88's. Would the 86 uppers fit on the bottoms then?

The OEM '86 250R had removable upper balljoints.

i've made the mod you referr to but was on a set of 86 style arms. i'm sure it can be done to the newer style aswell. some machining is required though. the parts that ya wanna use are the late 60's VW bug or the late 70's early 80's ford courier or mazda p-up tie rod ends.
