i have seen it done but its not pretty, cheap, or easy. and once done they are very finiky to keep runing right. as far as what needs to be done i cant help you there but if you do get it to work, mad props to you.

well to do it i would deff put a aftermarket crank in it like a falicon or something for strength, some diff valves and springs for strength lighter piston for movablilty issues and quicker revs from the boost im not the smartest dude on here just trying to help so nobody flame me for it but i hope i helped good luck man

I can do it. No problem.
What is your budget, that is the first big question.
No need for different valves as mentioned earlier. Would strongly consider a new rod, not necisarily a whole crank. Boost would need to stay low with stock compression, unless you want to run it on methanol or ethanol. I would convert it to EFI, ditch the carb.
There is no reason for it to be finicky unless it is built to extract every last ounce of power.
I'm almost finished with a bolt-on Rhino turbo kit with EFI.

first i would do EFI, blowethrou syestems are hard to get right with a carb, then find a proper size turbo. if you can weld it will not be hard to. after that its just trying what works best. if you have any ?'s jsut ask me or you can pick up this book frome summit its called TURBOS it is by HP it realy has some good info about turbos on cars and bikes but it is all good info

Its not my bike.

It made 98 with a Sparks cam.

No longer turboed. I wouldnt do it. Unless its a over ride, the gears bind up and its hard to shift, needs a lockup, and will more then likely split the cases around 105-110. Which is about 20-25 psi.
