shifting problems 450r

ok had quad for 2 weeks runs stong. stock 2005 new.
had it out today and i was racing a 400ex. it had alot of work done to it. but anyway we were both winin an losing 2 each other but after like 4 races when i would go to shift in to 5th it would go in to nutruel an it would over rev. alot. and i would get smoked.

first is the over rev. goin to hurt my bike and wtf is wrong i let it cool down and it did the same thing

your geting a false nuetral from it not shifting into gear all the way. every now and then isnt a problem. but dont keep reving it like that.

R u shifting all the way? Does it go into 5th at all??

what oil are you running on the tranny side. A lot of guys use the honda red bottle (80w) and it helps, but its still there once in a while.
