i have used nacs and k&k atv number plates. the nacs were a bit higher quaility but all in all they were both good. i do believe both locations offer colors for most of the ama classes

Yeah, like he said, just go to a big racing company and they will have them, and they are all around the same price, unless your are really tight and want to save 37 cents on number-plates... I personally have the nacs...

i have the nacs and they are extremely thick and very high quality. i have nothin to compare them to but they are great.

PS IF YOU ARE PUTTING A DOUBLE NUMBER ON GET 6" NUMBERS NOT 8"!!!!

leo - when i needed number plates, i didn't have enough time to order some, so i went to a local dirt bike shop that carriers very little quad stuff, but they had packages of sheets of number plate material, so you can just cut whatever you need. it is really thick stuff and works great. just an idea.

Will the Nac's hold 3 digits?

Being a newbie ice racer we get a two digit number with an X (say 34x) so I've got to be able to squeeze it all in there :D

I was hoping to find something that matched the profile of the nose of the bike.. I'll probably get one of the number plates that hangs from the rear grab bar for the back (the numbers on the fenders wouldn't last long with me :D)

Thanks,
Leo

Yes they will hold three numbers, just turn the number plate horizontal, and don't get huge numbers.

And your point?

I told leo that he could turn the number plates horizontal so he could fit 3 numbers. I was talking about the hard number plates that go on the grab bar, not the sticker backgrounds. We were talking about the hard number plates in another thread.

Oh, gotcha, where can you get the hard number plates?

You can get the number plates that go on the grab bar and bumper from Nacs for $5 each.

Nac's are the best.

No you dont have to turn the number plate sideways to hold 3 digits, you just cut into the numbers like this to make then over lap each other.

Where I race at they want the quads to have 10 " numbers, not that everyone does it.
I went to one of my local sign shops. They made a nice 12" white background and 10" black numbers. I think she only charged me $3 for all three stickers. Granted the front one would not fit on the nose. So I used one of the ones that East Coast ATV sent me, they are simmilar to the Nac's ones. I will see if I have a pic at home to post.
