O.k. question for all the EX owners. I'm not familiar with 4 stroke stuff let alone EX's. I have a decent amount of valve noise in my wheeler. the service has been done and I was told the valves are good. Is this normal for an EX? I'm running Honda oil and 92 pump gas. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

i have an 06 400ex and the valves make a good bit of noise. This is apparently very common on these bikes. I have had the valves adjusted and they say everything is goood.

You can go and check the valve clearance on the bike if you want to make sure its ok. Its pretty easy and i can explain it for you if you want. But valve ticking on these engines is very normal....almost all ex's like to make some valve noise

If you could that would be awsome.

Yeah... the EX's all have noisy valve trains. Nothing outta the norm.

The time to start thinking they need adjusting is when you CAN'T hear them clatterin.......meaning they're too tight again.
