Well, I did the unbearable last night, I took the ole 400EX apart for the last time last night. It is being parted out and the frame has sold so it will definitely not be going back together.

Getting my arse handed to me on the MX track in the corners is not how I want to race. When I am 2 or 3rd into the corner and after a few turns, I am 5th or 6th, I think I just need more grunt.......Don't get me wrong, I am sure I need more rider ability but I can buy power, not ability!

I know I need more practice too, but we will see how I do this fall on a new machine! :devil:

well i didnt part my 400ex out, but i sold it straight out...i did regret it at first...then i got my 06 450 3 days later....i got on that 450r and i was like SCREW THAT 400EX...400ex is a good bike no doubt, but the power on that 450r is unbelieveable....it was kinda hard letting it go knowing that ill have to start all over from scratch again with a stock bike and hook it up again...but thats the fun part

EDIT: i have taken my 400ex to the track before, and i have taken my 450r to the track last weekend....the 450r bone stock peformed better then my 400ex with mx tires and all that other good stuff...mind you i still had stock a-arms, but the 450r jumps better, lands better, is alot smoother in the air, and it has some awsome grunt out the turns...

ull love the 06 450....i know i love mine and its still stock...ive got ac pro pegs on the way for it, and i got the hrc kit goin in it tuesday...

I think you're gonna like the 06. Coupled with the HRC kit, my 06 is a total beast in my eyes. As far as power goes, I have beaten everything (I have raced) in my class so far. :)
