I bought one of them cross crunch things from wal mart (the ones shown on tv), well I been doing it alot for about a week and I feel my abs starting to form, but I have a littlew bit of fat covering it up, just a little bit, enough where you can't see the abs. Well if I keep doing this little crunchcross or w.e, will it get rid of my little gut? I do it quite alot... thanx neil

It will certainly help but what's your diet like? Other than ab crunches do you do any other type of physical activity?

Crunches will form your ab muscles, not take away the fat on top. Cardio will burn that spare tire off much more effectivley.

When your trying to get ripped you should concentrate more on your total Body fat percentage not just your stomach fat. I didnt get a six pack til I was down around 8%.

Cardio is like running swimming anything to get your heart pumping. I try to run but it so boring! So i just lift lol!

sustained activity that raises your hear rate. Such as what those people are doing but not what you have to do. Running/jogging stair step machines biking etc... I would suggest jogging.

you CANNOT target fat loss.

cant target it but if you manage your caloric intake and get the right amount of cardio and you will loose fat. Generally starting in your belly region

yea, but only if you are most inclined to develope fat in that area of your body more than others.

in other words, you can't get fat, have a huge gut, ***, ect. and just work to get rid of your boobfat and keep everything else.

that's one common misunderstanding, as well as 'turning fat into muscle'

maybe when i can turn **** into quarters

run or exercise for 20 minutes ATLEAST. after 20 minutes of exercising ur body will start to burn fat for energy.

low intensity exercise for long periods of time using mainly large muscles (legs, back) will help the best with losing weight.

Get into some physical activity is the best thing for you. Go to a swimming pool with some buds (or family) and just play games in there. You'll get a good workout and still have fun.

thanks for backing that up

aerobic exercise is far better at efficient fat loss than anaerobic. and a good way to get a healthy aerobic session going is to use large muscles with low intensity for long (relative to anaerobic) periods of time.

Define your intensity for long (relative to anaerobic) periods of time. Is it more than an hour?

Interesting about the L.I.. I wouldn't think either would be better at burning cal, even though H.I. has been the rage for years. Main point is just to be active and eat clean.

I was quite suprised to find how accurate the info in this thread is. Most health/diet/muscle building threads on this forum are horrible
