I have to start helping him with shifting now...

MotoX3
08-09-2006, 03:21 PM
I was looking over a little KTM bike similar to his this weekend after a kid locked it up and we picked him up with a truck....they seem built really well, especially for a "mini"...I dont know how much ride time he's had yet but I'm curious to know if he can tell a difference between the ride of the no link suspension and regular bikes? I'd think with shocks that small it might roughen it up a bit...

happy b day ryan!

Pappy
08-09-2006, 04:06 PM
MotoX3, the rear suspension seems to work very well, but he hasnt really jumped it yet

Pappy
08-09-2006, 04:10 PM
He has been riding a bike for over a year so the basics are there, just adding the shifting and clutch to the mix may take a wee bit of time for him to get accustomed to.

Pappy
08-09-2006, 04:11 PM
I do believe that its highly likey the manufactures will start bringing out 4 stroke mini racers based off of technolgy found in modern 4 strokes. That would be a benefit for young riders starting out

Pappy
08-09-2006, 05:44 PM
LOL...it wasnt dark yet, so you just know they were riding:p

Pappy
08-09-2006, 05:46 PM
he started doing better on the shifting, and working on turns with the faster bike

Pappy
08-09-2006, 05:47 PM
You know who wasnt going to let him ride without a little pressure:devil:

When we went to the dealership to pick up the KTM, my gas light came on in my truck. Cody asked if we would make it to the gas station and I assured him it shouldnt be an issue. Ryan pipes up from the back seat and asked..."Dad, just put it on reserve":p

He couldnt believe that cars and trucks dont have a reserve...lmao

I dont trust that thing anymore. Supposedly we still had 15 miles to go. Because of it being a diesel truck, it had to be towed, while our 40' gooseneck trailer was still attached. Not fun...

i had to a little something different, else they could easily become bored. they live the life of atv's, they are surrounded by atvs and thats all they ever get to talk about..atvs:p Cody was asked today to test ride and review the Xtreme 90 this weekend, so he will still be working even when he is playing:p

Pappy
08-10-2006, 04:08 PM

Hey Pappy,

I picked up my son one yesterday 85SX, I rode that thing last night and it has one hell of a kick, I couldnt pull my son off the bike, could you see that motor in a mini quad? man that would be mean. I work weekends at a KTM dealer so if ever need any parts and discounts just let me know.

Warren

Pappy
08-11-2006, 06:36 AM
Thanks Warren!

Yeah teh 85 is a beast, but the 105 would be what I'd want in a mini quad chassis:devil:

I am satisfied immensly with the quality of the KTM's...if they would onlys tep up and build a true KTM quad on thier own.
