Well I picked up a 03 Blaster last night. Seems to be in real good shape and was just rebuild (top end). Is there anything I should check that has common problems? I a going to clean the air filter and change the oil before I take it out. Anything else?

loose bolts/nuts, tires dont wobble, axle isnt bent, handlebars are tight, and anything on the handlebars are tight, grips dont slide, give the exhaust just a shake to see it its tight (muffler too), check the chain, lube it up really well, and have fun.

Add.. make sure you're brake pads aren't gone. Especially in the rear. Mud kills the pads back there. Disks cost a lot more than pads. ;)

I'd reccomend getting an pre-mix oil injector blockoff kit and pre-mixing your own fuel. If the injector fails, so does your motor.

You'll love the blaster, it's a great little quad.

There is no oil to change in a 2 stroke

Definately oil in the case to change. Just hoping the previously owner knew that because it was dark.

Is there any other benefit to the oil block off kit? If I do the kit, #1 where can I get it? #2 what ratio do you mix at?

the benefit is that if the oil pump dies your motor will be running with no oil so if you block it off you know that your engine is all ways getting oil

you can get them hear http://www.moto-man.com/cgi-bin/motoman/scan/fi=products/st=db/sp=results_atv_cat/co=1/sf=category/se=Oil%20Injector%20Block%20Off%20Kit/op=eq/nu=0/cs=1/sf=type/se=ATV/op=eq/nu=0/cs=1/ml=30/tf=pname/to=x.html

i think the mixing ratio will be on the bottle of pre mix oil you bye

Anyone know what the factory injector mixes it at?

its around 32:1. i would keep it at 32:1, it was made to have the much oil used, so i wouldnt use any less
