What are the exact parts that i would need to create a 440 stroker?



If anyone can answer i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks :)

Well the bare essentials would be a 440 sleeve and piston and a stroker crank. You'd probably also like to get a different cam that would take advantage of the stroker. Among other things would be heavier duty internals.

Hope that helps...i'm sure there's alot more tho.

With a 440 stroker you wouldn't need a new sleeve.

Check out www.powroll.com. I highly recommend the HD rod.

yup wheelie is right. A 440 stroker is a 416 stroked so a new sleeve is not needed. Wish I could afford to do mine right now...

Well I guess that's right. I was thinking you were going to do a 440 then stroke it, which is what I would LOVE to do. My bad.

what compression ratio are you planning on running?

i am pretty new to all this actually...so i dunno

i was just wanting to beef my bike up.....basically just starting out.




it would cost around $2k to get a 440 stroker?

depends on who builds your engine:eek2: the stroker crank is somwhere around $ 550 i think from powroll, 87mm piston $ 125, $ 40 to get your cylinder bored .80 over ( to 416) , cam is $130 , porting is around $200, exhaust will run you $250 for a slip on, carb is around $450 so your around $1700 if you build it yourself, might be better to have somone build it tho:ermm:

well i have a buddy that works at the Harley Davidson/Honda atv shop that told me to just bring it to his house and he will do it for half of what the honda place will do it for.(he would be doing it anyway if i brought it there)

So i have an ok price on the guy that would do it for me....lol i'm sure the hell not gonna do it. It would be torn to hell if i did it lol.

I got my crank reworked, an HD rod and custom piston through Powroll. It came to $849.

FYI--If you buy a piston elsewhere, send it in with the crank. The skirt has to be machined to clear the throws of the crank.
