Hey -newbie here -
I am new to quads, but experienced with dirtbikes. I bought a used 450r about a year ago to ride with my wife. She has a 400ex, and my crf was a bit high strung for the type of riding we do as a couple. well now i want more power out of my quad. Man, i would love to duplicate my crf, but i don't want to put that kind of money into a quad i ride 10 times a year.
I was thinking of doing the athena 488 kit, or just go to a 12.5:1 piston. I also have the stock crf cam out of my 04, and that bike is long gone, and was wondering if that would work with either mod.
What is the compression ratio on the athena kit? That is what i am leaning towards, and would that cam help it further?
Obviously i would change my intake, exhaust, and jetting etc.
Maybe one of you guys have ran this combo.
