Any degreaser seems to work really well.. but yea that simple green stuff is great!!!

My Cleaning Method....may sound dumb, but works....

1. Spray entire quad with pressure washer...get big chunks off mud off the fenders, but spray the whole thing.
2. Spray Simple Green all over...motor, plastic, rims, frame, a arms, etc.
3. I like to use an old tooth brush and go over and scrub my plastics really quick. It leaves no mud stains or anything. I even scrub my motor on some places.
4. Spray off with water, let air dry, or dry with a towel.
5. Spray WD40 EVERYWHERE. Plastics, rims, motor, pipe, frame, a arms, swingarm, chain, etc. I usually spray it on my plastics then wipe it off, but on the motor, I usually just spray the whole thing and let it run.
6. Fire up quad, let WD40 burn off motor and pipe, and your good to go.
This would be a great time to have a drink and sit back and admire how good your machine looks.

Or Yourself. :huh

I like using Simple Green because I am glad knowing if I ever have the desire to chug a bottle of it, I won't have to worry about anything happening to me. :D

I like to use Tide! It cleans really good. I mix it with water in a Pump bottle.

Only problem with purple power is that it will discolor/oxidize metal. Did it to my aluminum rims, motor etc. I'll stick with the green stuff. :)

WTF! I've been using Greased Lightning on both quads and my vehicles for over 3 years now and have no ill affects! It cleans better than Simple Green and it's cheaper!

My frame hasn't melted, my plastic has shriffled up, my tires haven't exploded!!

Please explain your statement!!

You probably shouldn't, but the main reason I buy it is because it says "Non-Toxic'' right on the side of the bottle. Mainly just so I won't kill the grass and stuff where I clean my quad.

Simple Green works great as long as you spray it on after the quad is good and wet. Liquid Performance and Pro Prep (I think thats what its called) are probably technically the "Best".

Stay away from purple Power and White Lightening. These will damage metal surfaces and etch paint /powdercoat.

we dilute simple green 50/50 with water in a weed sprayer. A lot of racers do this.

Mean Green All purpose cleaner from you're local Dollar General store is the same stuff as the Liquid Performance stuff. But a lot cheaper!!

I use a regular garden hose, so I'm not forcing water into any bearings, to get the heavy mud off then spray on the Mean Green. Let that sit for about 5-10 mins then spray it off almost every piece of dirt comes off with a regular garden hose.

honda polish works better than any other cleaner out there. i dont know how or why, but it does. but good luck finding it anywhere on the east coast because whatever was in it that made it clean so good got the polish banned on the east coast.

This is Quad Wash. I am an ATV Rider and racer that will be selling this in the next month or so. I have been doing extensive testing over the summer with riders in the Iowa Series and have had Great Reviews. You can use it on everything including shop floors and automotive carpets to get stains out. It works on foam air filters to get rid of the crud, cuts the grease on the engine cases and frame, and is gentile enough to wash down your entire quad without any damage. If you have any questions feel free to contact me tim@fuchsmotorsports.com

Thanks
Tim Fuchs

thats just knock-off greased lightening...dont use that cramp man....quit bein cheap yall spend 5K+ on a quad why use crappy cleaners that will spot metal...greased lightening and purple power will spot alu. really bad almost to a point where its hard to get clean again without polishing it up by hand with some mothers...
