How much of a beating will a stock bearing carrier and brand new bearings take with a +4 axle? Just wondering how often I'll have to change until I get a better carrier.

Also will I be fine with a stock locknut with extremely mild jb weld?

I ran the LSR +4 axle with a stock carrier for 1 year and nothing happened to my bearings. How often did you check or change your bearings? Did you replace them every 6 mos or sooner as it is suggested? Did you always make sure you lock nut was tight?

I think your problems is a lack of maintenance!

Well I always stay on top on my maintenance, so I hope your right Dave. Because I won't have the cash for an aftermarket carrier for awhile.

That is what I thought, you can not say that "you wouldn't trust it" if you fail to do maintenance.

That is almost like saying, I don't trust the 400EX gas tank if I have never checked to see if I need gas!
