I'm sure everyone hears it a lot, but just to remind you all WATCH FOR CABLES ACROSS UNFERMILLIAR TRAILS. Today where I was camping I went down a beaten car path not too fast thank god, and didnt see a 3/4 inch cable across the trail. all I remember is being knocked on my *** and watchin my quad roll away. I have some scrapes, all around my neck and can barely swallow. It was a real eye opener!!

my friend was hauling *** across a field on a pred and it this cable, and it knocked him out for like an hour, and he went to hospital

The docter said if the cable was three inchs higher, he would have no head.

Well at this campground there are private sites around where people put cables across the trail so nobody can get in their site. They are supposed to have bright trail tape on them but this one didn't. No signs or nuthin!

Theres one wire from a fence that was cut down. Its in a perfect position to take off someones head. The state installed a fence there so people wouldn't walk into the highway from the forest.

Yeah, they need to do away with cables all together on the trails....too many close calls.

How hard would it be to put a 2x4 fence up? Not very hard....

A couple years ago a kid around here hit a cable and cut his head off.

A few years ago , my buddy was up at his cottage riding his dad's Big Bear and hit a steel cable used to keep people out of a driveway .

The only thing that saved him from being decapitated was the fact that his dad had an old plastic milk crate strapped to the front rack so that he could haul stuff around . When he hit the cable with the milk crate , it slowed him down just enough to save his life . The cable still got him under the chin and he still has a nice scar on his neck , but he's alive .

That cable now has a few of those floating pool noodles attatched to it .

Sometimes crazed hippies stumble out of the forrest and wander into traffic.

Do people actually go riding down unfamiliar trails at high speeds?

yep, but they get thinned out of the crowd alot faster than ppl who ride responsibly. And on the same topic, another thing to watch out for are the guidewires to the huge electrical towers..for the people who ride powerline fields.

Theres a trail by me that ends up by my friend with a banshee, well you have to ride between the elec tower and stuff that you see on side of mountains for hills, well i moved out of the way of a rock and almost rammed into one, it was a close call.
