400ex yz400f hybrid

Need to know what intake manifold to use on a 400ex frame. the motor is a yz400f conv. to a 426- I think that the cross bar that the rear shock bolts to will be a issue. Its what goes to the motor to the carb. can anybody help???

Use the oem intake..

Use your stock engine intake and then take this route to avoid any problems..Here is the route I took.. First you need to cut out the gussett on that part of the frame so the carb will not hit it..You will want to re-gussett like ss440 did in the pic above though..

Then you can use a radiator hose from Napa auto parts ( I can get you the # off it if you need).. This hose has the perfect bend and clears all of the frame easily.

Then you will cut part of the stock 400ex airbox tube, cut what you dont need of the radiator hose, and attach the 2 tubes together with a piece of PVC pipe and some hose clamps.. With this setup there is no need to notch the frame and the seat and fenders clear everything fine..

how much do these conversion kits of your(ss440ex) cost and do u have any or know where to get the engines for this and if so how much ?

do u guys think it was worth it power wise ? any 450 killa's?
