Just picked up a 06er. Was wondering if anybody or a magazines has done a pipe shoot-out. When i had my 400ex,atvsport did one that was very helpful. Sold my bike 2 years ago and now getting back into racing again. Will need a strong pulling powerband for motorcross. I had a sparks on the 400ex and loved it. Was thinking of getting one for the 450er, but would like to compare some other pipes before i shell out $500-$700 bucks.

i've heard good things about the sparks and the tc pipes.i have a fmf(was on there when i bought it)and i personaly would like a diferent one,id probably go with sparks, and if noise is an issue there both loud but the tc ive heard is louder.

my 2 cents

i have never seen a shoutout for the 06 but if u liked the sparks i would go with the sparks again. i think the sparks is a very nice and powerful pipe.

04/05 shootout... http://www.wppracing.com/links.htm

Gives you kind of an idea of what pipes put out good numbers.

Yeah it would be nice to find a pipe shootout on a STOCK 06 450, just to see what pipe is the best, cause I need to buy one soon.. =P

I was ridin with a guy a couple weeks ago he had a yfz with a lrd pro 4 I asked him how he liked and he told me it was fallin apart and that it's junk. It sounded good. I couldnt see where it was "fallin apart" I didnt really look at though.

DASA or ROSSIER ENG... If you've ever seen these pipes in person.. quality!! Best HP and both only run about $450
