I know this has been asked probably 100 times before but I was wondering what is the biggest diff between 06 and 07 450r if any. I want to trade my 05 rancher in for a 450r and I got some prices on a 06. They are asking 5900 before tax. I think this is a good price. What do you guys think? Should I get a 06 or 07 and is this a good price?

no difference between 06 and 07 except color options. That is also a very good price for the 06. Go for it;)

Is the 06 450r the first year of the new motor. I have read the new motor is a lot stronger than the one before. I used to own a banshee that had a few mods but no motor work and I raced a good many 450r's. They were the first year of the 450r's (don't know if it was an 04?) but I was beating them pretty easily. The Yamaha's were a good race but the Honda's seemed weak. Is the 06 a lot stronger than the 1st year?

Yeah the 06-07s are quicker then the 04-05's.

Esp with the HRC kit.

I think my 04 would take it. I take the 06 stock easily. I know im piped jetted cammed and have aftermarket airfilter. I know on top I shoudl be faster due to the stroke.

Just picked up a 06 er for 6000.00 out the door down here in florida. They had 5 left with 7 new 07 in the show room. Shop around cause alot of dealer need to dump their 06's with the 07's showing up.
