hi, i have a yoshimira full system,, carbon fiber,, i use it with the baffle and spark arrestor out,, i have heard u have to repack them every 10 hours, or they will melt,,, is this true?

I've never heard that. I've run carbon fiber silencers on streets bikes for years without repacking them with no damage to the silencer.

Whoever told you that carbon fiber would melt is a blowing smoke up your butt. The resin will burn long before anything melts.. especially the carbon fibers. He has no legitimate concern of the carbon fiber melting. He may be thinking of "simulated" carbon fiber which is actually plastic.

It is possible for it to delaminate once the packing is toast from the extra vibrations, however.

I usually repack my exhaust twice a year. (or more if it gets submerged).
