View Full Version : 250x kicker problems!!!!!

I have a 87 honda 250x with bore kit to 300cc and i pull the quad in front of the house to take it for a quick spin and i road it for like 3 mins and came back.Whenever i was goin to pull it away i was riding and i did a small jump and whenever id land it i heard something in the engine and my rear tires locked.I tried to kick it again and the kicker didnt want to move.I can get it to gears and move the quad back and foward and everything but i cant kick start it cus is stock.Can someone tell me what it could be?Thanx.

engine sezed or it droped a valve and thevalve is keeping the piston from going all the way to the top:ermm:

Well i just pull the spark plug and the top part of the spark plug is gone so is something major.Ill be pulling the engine out and take it apart to see what the hell is wrong.

100% it droped a valve i did that on my DR500

What do i have to buy to get it running again.

new valve, piston, and the sleeve is probably chewed up so.. a bore

also if the head is screwed up maby a whole new head


when that happened to me i had to replace the whole head,valves,piston,and bore it out


also i would by stronger valves and rockers so that doesnt happen again

i bet you snapped the con. rod, especially considering the age. when they go they usually lock it up tight, where a broke valve will usually still turn over. either way $$$
