As the high humidty finally broke in this region friday night, we were eager to get back to www.breezewoodprovinggrounds.com

We were expecting to see the Burke family there and looked forward to riding with them.

Antony Burke (Ant) was ripping it up on his 450r

Pappy
08-06-2006, 02:05 PM
Ant has a year to go before he can run in the adult classes, and he sure looks like he is using that year to sharpen his riding skills:D

The humidity may have been gone, but the incredible sunshine wreaked havok on me as a photographer. There wasnt a cloud in the sky and with the dust acting like a filter, some wild coloration came out!

Pappy
08-06-2006, 02:07 PM
Zachery Burke is no stranger to the MX track, and spent his time terrorizing BPG's tracks, and more then one adult rider who got roosted by this young man:D

Pappy
08-06-2006, 02:09 PM
With the temperature hoovering around the mid 90's, riding sessions were lasting roughly 20 minutes before these guys needed a big ol' drink. It must be nice to be young, I was wanting a camelback just filming them:p

Pappy
08-06-2006, 02:11 PM
Cody hit the track and got good and muddy before i could get a clean shot of him supporting Anthony Marscola's support sticker.

nice! ill be there the weekend of the 18th! c ya then

Pappy
08-06-2006, 02:12 PM
He has been trying to ride in the heat of the summer to get himself conditioned for a few upcoming XC races

Pappy
08-06-2006, 02:14 PM
Ashley has become a BPG regular in between D5 races. She is getting faster and faster and it is great to see another woman rider on the tracks!

Pappy
08-06-2006, 02:15 PM
Cody still hasnt done the big double, but he is working on the nerve to hit it:p

Pappy
08-06-2006, 02:17 PM
It could be just me, but the bike riders seem to have found BPG and every time I am there, more and faster riders are showing up to rip it up.

Pappy
08-06-2006, 02:19 PM
I enjoy shooting anyone who goes big or can rip out of a corner:D

Pappy
08-06-2006, 02:22 PM
As the day wore on, the sun was insanely intense...cooking me to a crisp and turning any splashed up mud into a caked on baked on mess

Pappy
08-06-2006, 02:23 PM
Track owner Dan came blazing out on the tracks and was not hard to spot on his clean 400:D

Pappy
08-06-2006, 02:25 PM
Dan rips through a high walled berm heading for the 65 footer

Pappy
08-06-2006, 02:26 PM
Dan picked up the pace as he rails through a corner

Pappy
08-06-2006, 02:27 PM
He gave me a look back as he sails over the connecting table

Pappy
08-06-2006, 02:29 PM
With the track virtually clear of other riders, Dans exhaust note had others scrambling to get geared up because he is a bast to ride with

Pappy
08-06-2006, 02:30 PM
When Dan saw the other riders hit the track...he gave me a big thumbs up. That usually means we will see some cool play racing, and when Dan is involved....maybe a good wreck:devil:

Pappy
08-06-2006, 02:33 PM
Dan gives Ashley a look back as he sails over my head

Pappy
08-06-2006, 02:34 PM
Unfortunatley, the lead dog gets the treat as dust prevented me from getting anyone following Dan:p

Pappy
08-06-2006, 02:35 PM
Ashley was given room to get out front so dan could push her. No better traing for an up and coming racer!

Pappy
08-06-2006, 02:38 PM
No sooner then I got a gatorade in me, the upper track was once again full of riders. Oh, and Dan did eat dirt:devil: I heard it but did not see it, sorry Dan, no picture to prove it.

Cody working a table in the back section

Pappy
08-06-2006, 02:40 PM
I made a quick adjustment to the camera to grab some of the strong back lighting in this corner, I think it turned out to be a killer shot.

Pappy
08-06-2006, 02:42 PM
Zach was putting his 90 through its paces as he soars a jump

Pappy
08-06-2006, 02:44 PM
KH426 was back on the track and trying his best to show me he can ride. I reminded him I needed him at work Monday morning:p

Pappy
08-06-2006, 02:45 PM
He actually rides pretty darn good, and since Mobil Dyno was at BPG they checked out his engine since going back to a full exhaust and doing the cam mod. I beleive he made just over 44hp.

Pappy
08-06-2006, 02:47 PM
Ashley and KH426 ripped it up for quite a few laps.

Pappy
08-06-2006, 02:49 PM
Catching Ashley at the moment she touches down.

Pappy
08-06-2006, 02:51 PM
Back on the upper track, Cody was still going. I once again found a corner with some really dark shadows and grabbed probably my favorite shot of him. The intensity of the lighting had nothing on the intensity in his eyes:eek2:

Pappy
08-06-2006, 02:55 PM
A nice look back over the new step up

Pappy
08-06-2006, 02:56 PM
Ant hitting the uphill tripple

Pappy
08-06-2006, 02:58 PM
I will admit, with such a strong sun, no clouds to help diffuse it, and shadows so dark you needed headlights to see the turn, I almost called it a day. I decided to go make what i could out of the bad light....I am glad I did:cool:

Pappy
08-06-2006, 03:00 PM
killabanshee had just rolled his quad off the dyno and hit the track to check out his new engine

Pappy
08-06-2006, 03:02 PM
I reckon it was powerful as he ripped just a bit too hard on the throttle and almost over shot the berm:p

Pappy
08-06-2006, 03:03 PM
I have seen others do this and rail the top of the berm ALL the way over:p

Pappy
08-06-2006, 03:05 PM
KH426 lending a helping hand to a young rider who's bike decided it had done enough riding for the day

bigbadbrad
08-06-2006, 03:06 PM
nice pics pappy, keep it up

Pappy
08-06-2006, 03:06 PM
Killabanshee going at it

Pappy
08-06-2006, 03:11 PM
Sunday morning brought better light and cooler temps as the sun started to climb. 05kfx (Casey) was out and about trying to get some laps in before the heat woke up

Pappy
08-06-2006, 03:12 PM
KH426's day was cut short when he snapped both battery cables

Pappy
08-06-2006, 03:15 PM
Zach hopped on his built 300 and was riding it very well until a mechanical issue put it on the trailer

Pappy
08-06-2006, 03:16 PM
Cody working though the double double section

Pappy
08-06-2006, 03:18 PM
Two extremely talented youth riders from Maryland showed up, and these kids rocked!

Pappy
08-06-2006, 03:19 PM

Pappy
08-06-2006, 03:22 PM
Tyson Clark was absolutley a blast to watch ride

Pappy
08-06-2006, 03:23 PM
He was flipping that bike around like it was nothing

Pappy
08-06-2006, 03:25 PM
A bit of freestyle over the triple

Pappy
08-06-2006, 03:26 PM
Ant got in on some of that

Pappy
08-06-2006, 03:27 PM
Them guys are nuts:p

Pappy
08-06-2006, 03:31 PM

Awesome pictures pappy. I had an awesome time riding breezewoods tracks. We also had a very sucsessful day on the dyno. We ended up with a well tuned 52hp and 34lbs of torque. With the weather in the mid 90's with about 11% humidity which restricted many atv's from making there max hp. We also found out that my axle was later bent after landing sideways on the 65' uphill tabletop. I'de also like to thank mobile dyno from making yesterday possible. My bike runs awesome now!
