mud lites vs. HD's

i am getting some new tires soon....and i was wandering what tires i should get mud lites or HD's.....i do some WICKED mudding and trail riding...thanks Z

HD's defiantely. Mudlites weren't meant for sport quads. It will handle and look like chit.

Sure, mudlites weren't designed for sport quads, but they hook up like mad and I feel completely comfortable riding aggressively on them. If you still want a sport tire though, I would suggest klaws. They do pretty good in the mud, not as good as the mudlites though.

but will i have problems getting stuck in ruts if i get the HD's cuz we have ruts every where on the trails(just a ? cuz the hds only come in 20's):confused:

i have the HD's and i have no problem with them there great, they hook up awsome, there on the heavy alittle so i would consider getting a 14T front sprocket but stock gearing is ok.

the HD's are wide so you float on top of others ruts. I just rode the muddiest race of my life (on a banshee, xc) today and I didnt get stuck.

I razr's are the best sport quad mud tire. They are lighter and ride better than razr 2's and they get through the mud way better.

Umm, it's the same width as most other tires like it for XC racing.....:rolleyes: :ermm:

Maximum width is the same; however, the shoulders on the HD's are nearly 90 degree angles. This allows the constact patch to be extended all the way out to the sidewalls. The part of the tire that you actually use is wider.

i got a set of razr 2's that are 22inch. they EAT. and I can climb rutted up hills. I only really ride mx anymore and am wanting to get rid of them. they still have the little piece of rubber that is in between the lugs down the middle. maybe 3% wear. I used them on 3 mud rides. I just spent WAY to much on them for them to just sit around. pm me for price. I can sell them w or w/o the black c-series rim I have them on.
