that was said about the single backflip on a quad as well... ANYTHING is possible, wether someone will ever do it or not we may never know...

Ud have to make a bigger super kicker n like a 20' deep foam pit to practice it. Hitting it 5th pinned lol

08-04-2006, 08:59 PM
They should try it into a pound/lake or a foam pit first....ill try it:D

i think it will be done.... years later from now though. also doing it into to a pond/lake would hurt..... you'd have to hit the ramp pretty damn hard and hitting still water going fast hurts like some kind of mofo..... if anyone does want to commit and try it i believe they'd do it into a foam pit for a year or so.

I don't see it being done anytime soon... Maybe in 10+ years someone might pull one. Until then I think it'll just be a myth or something people will only try in the foam.

WOW it seems like it was only yesterday where people was saying doing a backflip on and ATV was impossible...

Did I ever tell you guys that I landed a 1 and a 1/2 back flip one time???:p
As you can see, I didnt make it all the way:D

no I have not flipped to dirt yet. I am taking a break from freestyle as if right now. I have alot of big things going on with racing with the Media Allstars and Cernics for next year so I cant afford to get hurt doing freestyle! i would like to practice it some more and do one to dirt someday though!

Very Nice. Is anyone doing it besides Jon? I've been out of quads for a while now.

Jon Guetter has been flipping to dirt for about 2 1/2 years now.....Christian Gagnon from Canada is doing flips to dirt....some guy from Michigan landed to dirt, and Hugo from Spain has landed to a padded landing.........Sheldon Riggs tryed last year but failed, August Goebal, Wes Miller, Dana Creech, Derek Guetter, Ryan Bemis, Garret Engelstad, Josh Normington, Steve Weissinger, Caleb Moore, Austin Wilson, Kliff Johnson, Mad Mike Jones, Travis Pastrana have all gone to foam, water or both....it's only a matter of time before some of these guys get the flip down to dirt Something tells me Jon Guetter is going a bit farther than the other guys as far as distance:eek:

i think the jumps will get better (better suspension will come out) and bigger.

big enough to land a double backflip on a quad

i seen in some one sig. on here it said "who ever said nothing is impossible never tried slamming a revolving door" . this thread just made me think of it and laugh because of everyone arguing about if its possible or not but i think it can be done

I think it'll be another Canadian to be the next to flip to dirt . There's 2 Canadians flipping to dirt right now and I've heard there's another guy out of Quebec that has plans of doing it .

I don't think we'll see a double flip for a while , if ever .

it looked like some of those boys in beginner class at balance's were gonna do backflips and backed out of them at the last minute and almost killed themselves.

What do you guys think is harder, backflip on a dirtbike or quad?

Also, does anyone think, that out of all the people in this world, only one has done a double backflip on a dirtbike? I think SOMEONE HAD to have done it other than him.
