Hey everybody I'm looking to add some power to our 04 Viper. We're not quite ready to go the full on race setup yet but I was wondering what was the best bang for the buck for a little more power and acceleration? The bike is currently totally stock except for suspension and the rider is 60lbs.

Mark and Billy should be able to help you best.

high compression head is pretty cheap and easy to install. give you a little more acceleration and better throttle response. of course the best hop up is pipe and clutch kit.

Mark we did have a high compression head on it.The dealer we bought it from milled the stock head down and reshaped it a little.I actually didn't think it really made that much difference.I'm not sure if a "true" aftermarket head would work better?..I'll have to see if I can find it and post some pics. The cranking pressure was very high with it though somewhere around 200 psi :eek2: I played a little with the roller wieghts once(removed 3) and it seemed much quicker off the line but had a hesitation when it shifted as I had removed too much wieght.I think lightening up the rollers a little would help?

better on these not to remove rollers but to put in lighter ones. 200psi and didnt fill a difference, sounds strange since stock compression is about 100psi. stock etons heads are not good to mill, polaris yes but not etons but i would have to see it.

Mark here are some pictures of the head.Ignore the one on the left in the top picture. I was comparing an Arctic Cat 90 head to a stock Viper head..Its the only picture I have of a stock Viper head. The two bottom pics are the one we have that is modified.
