Hey guys,

i wwas wondering what you guys thought about this 250r that i am thinking about buying real soon. Im not sure if its a good deal tho and i wanted your opinions..

how would this compare to the power of a 450? my friend has one, and my goal is to take him, on the track, and on the street!

Its an 1987 250r

Its got-

New HD Ukon Gears
Hinson clutch basket
new top end (265 i think)
Whole bottom end rebuilt (bearings, bolts, counterbalancer..)
Hot Rod crank
PEP front shocks, fully adjustable
Laeger swingarm

Alum. Air scoops

Also the crankcases are bored for a 340. I was looking around and on duncans website, it says that you should get a 8 plate clutch for it to run the 340.. so i dunno

All that for $2000

if marshmello passes may i please have the number also :D ....yes it is a good deal just make sure everything runs well. even if its not perfect thats still a deal.

Do it, You will love the 2 stoke power!!! Thats an awesome price, I just bought and '89 about 2 months ago for $3500 and it was worth every penny!!

ok guys i think im going to go for it, anything have anything bad to say first?

Im just worried about the cases being bored out.

I sold my 300 tonight, im soo happy you have no idea!!! i have been trying to get rid of it for sooo long, finally gone yayyy!!!!

that thing was nasty, im not going to lie, i killed my friends on 400 when i rode it, they thought that when i rode it that i pressed a button to make it go faster, bc when they rode it and i was on one of their 400 i totally ripped them.

i tell them they suck at riding but they dont believe me.. lol

maybe now i will be able to take my friend on his 450r now

a 400ex and the 450 have almost the same amount of top speed but the 450 has alot more acceleration. the 250r and the 450 would be a good match up. i would say it would be a clost battle on the track but the 250 would take it on the street.

in my oppinion it wuld be a damn close race, but even if you dont beat him, your only spending 2 grand he spent well over 6 (if new) If i was you, i would deff. get it, sounds like a steal for 2 grand, give me his number as well lol
