well i was doing a routine tire change on my truck because i poped the tire and the lug nuts were all rusted on, i sprayed them in wd40 and let them soak all day and went out to get them off. i got them all off but two and i was pulling so hard on one that the rachet broke, strippping the bolt when it happened, so now i have no way to get the stripped bolt off. i tried all the little tricks like fit a smaller socket on it but it is still so tight that nothing will work, any one have any ideas before i ahve to have the tow truck take it away?

if i dont get it fixed by saturday i am going to miss my race which would suck!!!

Did you try heating it up with one of those propane torches.

Get a penetrating oil called pb blaster. Way better than wd-40. Or just cut it off with a torch

take it to les schwabb and ask for a free tire rotation.

Get it really hot with a torch (no, not a cutting torch) and try again, if the hex is already rounded off your in deep trouble... big pair of vice grips with a pipe?

this excact thing happened to us the only thing we could do was heat it up realllly long and then we snapped it off. then we baught a new lugnut kit and bolt and every thing for like 20 bucks

well i heated it with a propane torch for like ten minunets and i still could not get it to budge, i guess i gotta call the tow truck and have a real mechanic try and get it off. we even got a 10ft pole for some extra leverage and all that would happen is we bent whatever we used.

they make a socket called turbo sockets, that u bang over top of the lug nut and spin them off with a air gun.or if the lug nuts r butchered up that bad,try cutting them off with a torch,or with a 3 foot breaker bar break them off and them just replace the lug studs and u will be good

Grind the lugnut off flush to the rim remove the wheel & bang the stud through the hub. Then you can replace the stud & lugnut. That's what I had to do on my truck when someone tryed to help my wife change a flat. This good person rounded the nut.

yeah, just cut it off now, and replace it with new studs

you can also try grinding the rounded off points into flat edges, then using a reguular socket on a breaker bar to get em off. if not, i second the idea of grinding them off the studs and getting new studs all around. good luck!:)
