hey guys... i'm most likely buying a revavled rear shock. its a dual rate mx zps setup valved and redone by johnny hale.

i noticed that gt thunder claims their setup for their link is best used for xc and 20 inch tires.

i should be buying 18 or 19in mx holeshots soon so would the derisi be my best bet, or are they closely related? i know both stop the bucking problem, but i am torn with what to get.

any help would be appreciated guys.

thanks..

both can work great with a revalved shock, but I would imagine it would be best having one or the other set up the shock to work with the link. the older links were identical from what i could see, but i have not compared any of the new gt thunder links to see if he had changed them in any way.

gt thunder has more than one link. They have one for mx applications.

If it is a shock that I did to go with a linkage it would be best to get the GT Thunder MX link if you are going to be using 18" tires. That is the linkage we use for all the 04-05 bikes if it was not valved to use a linkage there are a few minor valving changes that need to made.

I've been very happy with my Derisi link running mx with 18s.

thanks for all the replies guys... i have to ask the seller if it is valved for a link.

jh- i'm leaning towards gtthunder now that i know it is what you guys run.. hopefully this specific one is valved for the gt link.
