I have a R motor in my quad, there isnt enough room to Practicly run a fan. I probly could hack it in there, but it just wouldent look right.

Anyways, when Im racing MX temp light stays off. when I ride in sand pits, lots of hill climbs, dounuts. Light comes on. which is what I expected because I dont have any air flow for the raidator.

Is there a cheep way for me to cool things a little better. I know an over sized raidator would do the trick, but I dont have 300$ to spare at the moment.

I was thinking off a aftermarket water pump impeler along with engine ice brand coolant.

Any of you guys had experience with these products? Pros and cons.

Engine Ice does help. A 10 degree improvement is typical from what I'm told.

Maybe you could come up with your own fan solution. I bet even a small one would help. I've seen computer case fans used for rads that didn't originally have fans. Here's a couple things just to give you some ideas. They're both bikes but might help with brainstorming for solutions:

XRR cooling fan mod .pdf (http://www.4strokes.com/tech/honda/brpfan.pdf)
CRF fan mod (http://www.rickramsey.net/CRF250Xbigbore.htm#coolingfan)

Also, temperature strips like those offered by Racetemp (http://racetemp.com/) might give you better data for figuring out what cooling mods are working and by how much.

Just some thoughts...

I dono about a computer fan, I had thot about one for my 400ex motor back in the day. But I would think mud or water would kill it.

that temp strip gives me the idear that I could use my infared temp gun. I bet that would work.
