Well I did the first oil change on my 06 today. Am I the only person that knows how to use a torque wrench? The drain bolt on the engine is supossed to be 18 FT/LBs, I could not get mine free. So I used my torque and had to put it up to 80 Lbs before it didn't click! Is this normal?
Also does this plug look like I'm running rich or lean? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i'm not sure about the oil pluge but you can't judg how your quad is running by the plug unless you do a plug chop.b/c the plug will look rich if the quad was ideling.

Well read the post and it sort of doesn't help. Yes I'm on a new plug. only ran the wheeler for about five minutes and the plug looked like that. It is sooty around the ring. I have not touched the carb at all. This is how it was set up at the dealer.

If it didn't help than you may need to read that thread again--especially what 400exstud says about how a plug chop is performed and also the very last post about how to read the plug.

A new plug means a new plug with zero time on it. 5 minutes of riding around at various throttle openings is more than enough time to make the plug in your picture next to useless for fine-tuning your jetting. Plus, who knows how long the dealer ran the quad during prep and whatever mods they've done.

Unfortunately, there are no shortcuts when it comes to jetting.

Ok I put a brand new plug in and did the plug test. It was a little on the rich side. I put my K&N in and did it again with another new plug and everything looked fine. Thank you everybody for the help, it is seriously appreciated.
