can some one give me an estimite of what jetting sizes i should order for a 2002 300ex with a k&n filter and a fmf mega maxx

Aftermarket pipe, Filter, and No Airbox lid.. run a 132 Main. Needle clip in slot 4. (1 is the slot on the blunt end of the needle).
And the pilot should be about 2-1/2 turns out +/-.
If you have a lid try the 125 main jet.

Sounds about perfect to me. (assuming your in the 500ft -3000ft elev. range)
If you get popping on deceleration, you can bump the pilot up to a 40.
If you add a more agressive cam, you'll need slightly larger jets.

i have a the fmf, k&n filter, and lid on.
what kind of jet should the 125 be?
dyno jet?
im acually thinknig about just buying the kit

No.
125 would be a Keihin w/ lid on (solid, no punching)
Lid on:
125 Keihin
Clip in 3rd position (stock)
2.5 turns out.

scratch the megamaxx, my friend decided not to give it to me. need jetting for a hmf slip on. i bet its about the same?

125-128 should do ya. The HMF is a little more free flowing.. but still using the stock header. It will end up about the same.
