Is it more of a Tick or a Knock???

Tick: Your vavles need to be adjusted.

Knock: Something bad is going to happen.

is it coming from the top or bottom end? is it just when you start it, or all the time? The first thing i would suggest is change your oil with good oil like mobil 1.

Yep, sounds like the valves need to be adjusted. That is what mine needed.

Yeah most likely it is your valve clearance....

OIL MAKES A HUUUGE DIFFERANCE. If you want your engine to last you must use good oil and change it on schedual (change filter too!)

You can't just use mobile, you don't use the stuff you put in your car, you must use the oil with the right API rating listed on the back (SF or SG). This means it will lube, not only the engine but your tranny and clutch as well.

Oh, and the filter must be in right...backwards won't let oil flow.
