Pappy
08-01-2006, 05:59 PM
Dan wanted me to fill everyone in on some new events that will take place over the Labor Day weekend at www.breezewoodprovinggrounds.com

In conjunction with the usual MX riding, their will be a pitbike race and even something for the 4x4 crowd! Track personnel will be designing a "Mud Bog" obstacle course for anyone brave enough to try it out! Timed runs will distinguish who has the bragging rights and a plaque to enjoy! Mud, water holes, natural and man made obstacles will have the riders attention once the flag drops!

I will update the info as the weekend approaches, and I look forward to seeing every one there!

I'm interested in going, and probably will, but most likely i'll be going solo. I got friends that let they're wives or girlfriend run every move they make. So if anyone from N.Y,NJ, or CT is going and I pass you along the way I'd be intersted in following you down or something.hit me up if your going and wouldn't mind the company.... I'm gonna probably leave friday early so I can make a day of friday and leave monday morning.

The timed runs on the MX track should be pretty cool. I know a few fast riders that will be there. Maybe a few of the internet guys that say they are fast could show up and prove it:devil:

I honestly never thought of that .... and guess what ??? My aunt and Uncle own a delivery business and have about 15 of those large courrier vans . I might have to go sweet talk someone just a little bit !!! They did lend me a van when my car went on the blink ..... maybe I'll tellem it's on the blink again and take off for a weekend . You think they'll notice if the odo. is up 1500 miles in 1 weekend ?? :blah:

Then again , my luck , the thing would break down in the USA and I'd have to call and tell them I took a wrong turn somewhere and drove 10 hours and ended up in the USA !!!!:macho

Hey Guys,

Anthony Mastrocola is back home and I recognize a lot of your names from the posts you sent to Anthony while he was in the hospital. I am sure he would be stoked to see all of you. Also, Dan and Pappy have been great supporters over the last six weeks. We'll rearrange Anthony's rehab schedule and see you on Sat or Sun.
Promise me one thing... Don't let Anthony on your quad!!! Haha.

See you then.

Chris Mastrocola

It would be great to see Anthony. I think we are going to do a fund raiser for him that weekend also, so that would be the icing on the cake if he was there!

Hey , now that wasn't too nice . LOL .

Pappy .... let it be known , that before I die , I WILL make a trip down south to ride a quad .

In all honesty , even if I had a truck or van to get down there , I wouldn't be able to afford it . We have to dish out $4000 within the next 2 weeks so that my girlfriend can go back to University ... and that's just a deposit to hold her place in the program ..... you don't want to know how much it's gunna cost us 2 weeks before Christmas when the rest of the tuition is due . :( Let's just say , there might be a nice Grizzly for sale around Christmas time if anyones interested . :ermm:

If anyone has a personal jet and wants to come pick me up , I'll be more than happy to give you the coordinates to the nearest airport though . !!!!:p

I just checked to see how long it would take me to get to breezewood from good ol Michigan (southeast corner, on lake erie). 5 hours and 15 minutes. One of these days I will nut up and make the trek down to breezewood, it looks like a great place to ride. If I didn't already have a silver lake trip planned for Labor day, I would be going to breezewood. It's about the same amount of time to get to Silver, as it would for me to head out to breezewood.

Where in Jersey are you? I'm way up north 2 seconds away from NY and mapquest says about 4 and half hours for me.

08-22-2006, 09:56 PM
Im on the east coast right on the shore.it took me 6:15 minutes but i did stop about 4 times to walk the dog, take a leak, get a snack etc .. when using mapquest for long trips such as these, always give a minimal of give/take an hour or two.

Attn: NJ guys!

If your headed to BPG and gonna get on the PA turnpike make sure you don't get on the Northeast extension. I took that way thinking "It's the turnpike right? So I'll just go all the way on there." Big mistake! It took me 5 hours from Hackettstown to get there. On the way back I followed the mapquest directions that told me to take turnpike to 78. It took me 3:15 to get home.
So look at a map and check it out. I'll see you there. This is what I'll be driving. Stop in and say hello.

If anyone wants to sell me a rim at Breezewood on Labor day, bring it with you. I need a stocker off an 06 YFZ450 or a Douglas .190 9 X 8. Or both. The bolt pattern is 4/115. All you guys with 1 bent rim speak up and let me know what you want for its good partner. I am trying to make some complete sets out of the rim sets that I have.

We used one tank going to and from, it's 3 hours one way, 16 gallon tank.. 6 hours all togather.. we ran probaly 80-90 the entire time as well :o

so you figure add another hour or two, I'd say your looking at maybe a tank coming down and a tank going back, might be less though.. :chinese:

I am actually hoping to see some rain over the weekend, it is hard to describe how well the place responds to a shower...makes the track tack up.

It never rains here, and when it does the tracks drain real fast. I'm actually hoping for a nice storm before the weekend to help put some water in my ponds.

I look forward to seeing everyone here this weekend.

I am hoping we get rain!!!!

The forecast is for rain tomorrow and friday and it should be out of here early saturday morning. Dan has been working the tracks all week so they will be ready for the water and I dont think it will cause any problems what so ever!

Cody said he is riding no matter what:devil:

Hey everyone,

Sorry, but Anthony will not be able to attend this weekend. He was very excited to see everyone at Breezewood, but he got a call from Jeremiah Jones. It looks like JJ will be out of the hospital and able to go watch the last national of the season in Kentucky. He and Jeremiah have become friends and Anthony wants to be there for him at his first time back.
You have all been so supportive to Anthony and it really sucks that we can't be in two places at once. I hope you understand. Maybe we can hook up at the proving grounds before the end of the year.
Pappy and Dan, thanks for everything. You're both awesome!! Hope to see you soon.
