I was thinking about putting 20 X 11 X 9 tires and to compensate by putting 14T front sprocket.

Has anyone done this? How does this affect chain routing etc.

Thanks

I recomend getting new chain and sprockets and getting a 13/36 setup. Just because then you can stil have the case saver at its full strength.

If you want to go with the 13/38 combo let me know. I tried going with 13/36 with a used chain and it wouldnt fit because my chain was stretched, but it should work with a new chain.

I have the 36t rear sprocket that was never used with the motor on. Its a JT Carbon Steel. I paid $27. I will give it to you for like $25 shipped if you want it.

I don't want to have to get a new chain everytime mine stretches just a little too. So are you saying with a 14T I have to cut my case savers?

no no, If you start with the 36 the chain wont stretch the way it stretches with the 14/38. If you get a new chain and sprockets all at the same time, it will always work.

I don't understand the dynamics of what you are saying...on either post. :D

Are you saying a 14/38 combo will stretch more than a 13/36?

Thats what he is saying. With a 14/38 thers are 3 more teeth than a 13/36 so it causes the chain to stretch becuz the sprockets are bigger.

yes and then you cant switch to a 13/36.

All I am saying is that YOU CANT go froma 14/38 to 13/36 with the same chain.
